Adoption Inclusions

Our monthly expenses for Veterinary Care alone (not including facility rent and upkeep expenses) averages $5,000-$7,000 to spay/neuter/vaccinate.  Adoption Fees help cover the facility expenses and upfront costs of veterinary care such as:

  • Altering (Spay/Neuter)
  • Microchip Insertion & Registration
  • Nail Clipping/Ear Cleaning
  • Age Triggered Preventative Care for Dogs:
    • Deworming for Intestinal Parasites
    • Heartworm Testing
    • Flea/Tick/Heartworm Treatment
    • Vaccinations: Distemper, Rabies, Bordetella
  • Age Triggered Preventative Care for Cats:
    • Deworming for Intestinal Parasites
    • FIV/FELV Testing
    • Flea/Tick/Heartworm Treatment
    • Vaccinations: Distemper, Rabies
  • Unexpected and Emergent Medical Issues

Adopters receive an "Adoption Kit" the day they pick up their pets which includes:

  • Veterinary/Medical Records
  • Trupanion 30 Day Pet Insurance Policy Code
  • "Routines Reduce Returns" Basic Dog Training Tips
  • "Diligence Prevents Destruction" Basic Cat Scratching Prevention Training Tips
  • Microchip Registration (done by us!)
  • Adoption Day Reminders Checklist

Puppies & Dogs Adoption Fees

YOUNG DOGS

Puppy: 8 Weeks up to 2 years - $600

  • Puppies are not cleared for adoption until they are at least 8 weeks old, altered and have satisfied a 7 minimum day quarantine period.
MATURE DOGS
  • Youth: 2 Years through 5 Years - $500
  • Adult: 5 Years through 10 Years - $400
  • Senior: 10+ Years - $300

Kittens & Cats Adoption Fees

  • Kitten/Youth: 8 Weeks through 2 Years - $200
  • Youth/Adult: 2 Years  up to 10 Years - $175
  • Senior: 10 Years & Up- $150

Cats & kittens are not cleared for adoption until they are at least 8 weeks, over 2lbs, altered and have satisfied a minimum 14-day quarantine period.

All of our adopted cats come with health records and are dewormed, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and include one month of free pet insurance.

PAIR OF KITTENS/CATS

We offer a reduced adoption fee when adopting a second kitten/cat regardless of age.

PRE-ADOPTIONS POLICY

If you opt to Pre-Adopt a kitten that isn't ready for adoption yet, the following terms apply:

  • Contracts must be signed and non-refundable adoption fees are to be paid at the time of selection commitment with the understanding all fees will be considered a donation to our rescue if you decide you do not want to adopt, request to adopt a different kitten or do not confirm your scheduled adoption date when they are ready to go home.
  • Dates of adoption are non-negotiable and we have zero ability to control the time frames for which a kitten meets "Cleared to Adopt" requirements.
  • Kittens must be spayed/neutered, at least 8 weeks old, appropriate age-based vaccinations/tests AND in good health before being cleared to go home.
  • Photos/Updates will not be provided on a weekly basis as our fosters/volunteers' time is limited.
