Hi! My Name Is Grenada

I'm Available

This doggo is part of the "Travel Ban Lifted" Transport that arrived on July 15, 2021.  All dogs will be available for adoption on Saturday, July 24, 2021.

Grenada was a stray and has little socialization experience.  He was taken in with several other dogs that are currently in "Becoming a House Pet" therapy.  We take our time with these dogs... we allow them to decompress fully before asking much of them.  Once they have established that human beings are not harmful, we begin socialization training which includes learning about leashes, being handled by humans, interacting with other dogs and how great it feels to be a pet!

Though he is making great process, we recommend he be in a home with other friendly dogs.  He currently has a therapy buddy and relies on his four legged friend for security.  As of right now, we are not recommending these dogs go to inexperienced dog owners or households with children under 12 (or over 12 if that child is looking for a fun and playful dog to bond with).

*Remember - AFO DOES NOT HAVE ANY INFORMATION or guesses as to breed from dogs pulled out of high euthanasia risk shelters!
